Hat Box Cake

A pretty hat box cake for an unbirthday party.  Isn’t friendship awesome?  Sometimes being surprised by a friend with a special treat can really make your day.  This cake was for an unbirthday party.  The cake was the only “gift” so we wrapped it up and made it a gift to remember.  What fun and I love the colors in shades of lilac and cream.  This gorgeous cake is a lovely, moist, vanilla cake with a creamy, delicious, vanilla buttercream.

A Sweet Cake for a One Year Old

I think that cakes for a baby are the best.  They can can be simple or elaborate but chances are those little eyes have never seen anything like it and it is so exciting.  I loved making this little cake with the sweet little teddy bear and pink blankie!  What little girl wouldn’t love it.  Happy birthday Lea, and many, many more!!

A Cake for a Crafty Girl

This week I enjoyed making this cake for a young lady who enjoys her yarn the way I enjoy a pastry bag! She was thrilled with this decadent coconut cake with coconut buttercream that resembled her favorite past time.
