This past week I had the pleasure of preparing lots of goodies for a baby shower. It was for a little boy who will be born in August. I was honored to make the shower cake below. I love any cake with polka dots, they add a lot of color and are just so kiddish. I love the little fondant booties that just make me think of the little feet that are coming…
I had some cake batter left over so I finished it up with some simple cupcakes with store bought embellishments. They were super simple but a nice accompaniment to the cake in order to serve more guests (if needed). I personally prefer cupcakes to cake because I LOVE frosting and I get a lot of bang for my buck so to speak. I know there are other frosting lovers out there so I like to give options.
I also prepared cookies for this shower as an extra little sweet treat in the shower theme colors of blue and yellow.
One of my favorite projects for this shower was a centerpiece I made of a diaper trike. Puppy theme diaper trike: contains 120 diapers (size 1 and 2), 3 receiving blankets, two bibs, two baby washcloths, 1 fleece blanket, 1 stuffed animal, 1 two handled bottle and two pairs infant socks. The bibs had puppies on them too. The whole thing was just too cute and a great centerpiece and conversation starter.
If you know anyone having a shower and you need some sweet treats or a great centerpiece then give me a call. Still working on the photo quality and hope to give you better visuals soon
I have some fun things planned this week but my daughter gave birth to my second granddaugther last night and I don’t know what the next couple days hold. Will share some yummy goodies soon though.
